No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Election Code to allow certain municipalities to change the election date of its officers from the November uniform Election date to the May uniform election date. The section would expire January 1, 2019.
The bill would go into effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote by both houses; otherwise, it goes into effect September 1, 2017.
