SB1158 by Miles (Relating to food managers in food establishments in certain counties.), As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to authorize counties with a population of greater than 4 million to expand an existing requirement that requires trained food manager to be on duty during the operating hours of a food establishment to include certified food managers.

According to the Department of State Health Services, there is no fiscal impact to the state from this bill.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

According to Harris County, there is no fiscal impact to the county from this bill.
