SB1299 by Huffman (Relating to access to criminal history record information.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to remove a person's social security number from the information required for a person to obtain certain criminal history record information. The Texas Department of Public Safety reports that the costs to implement the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
