The bill would amend the Family Code relating to notification and informational materials regarding mutual consent voluntary adoption registries. The Department of State Health Services and the Department of Family and Protective Services indicate the costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within its current resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
