SB1399 by Whitmire (Relating to confinement in a community corrections facility of a defendant participating in a pretrial intervention program.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to allow a judge to require participation in a pretrial diversion program as a condition of community supervision. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration and Department of Criminal Justice, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
