No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Water Code allowing the board of a water district on receiving a petition of 10 percent of the registered voters in the district, to order an election on the question of removing a director. The election must be held not earlier than 78 days after receiving the petition.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
