SB1682 by Lucio (Relating to a building used as a prescribed pediatric extended care center.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to require that a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Center must provide for a minimum of 60 square feet of space for each child, exclusive of kitchens, bathrooms, storage areas, stairways, and unfinished basements or attics. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Based on the LBB's analysis of the Health and Human Services Commission, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
