IN RE:
SB1693 by Lucio (Relating to the establishment of the Seniors with a Visual Impairment Task Force.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Department of State Health Services to establish the Seniors with Visual Impairment Task Force. Based on the LBB's analysis of the Department of State Health Services and the Health and Human Services Commission, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If the bill does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, the bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
