SB1693 by Lucio (Relating to a study of seniors with a visual impairment by the Aging Texas Well Advisory Committee.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to direct the Aging Texas Well Advisory Committee to conduct a study and make recommendations related to services provided to seniors with visual impairment. The bill provisions would expire June 1, 2019.

The bill would take effect immediately upon a two-thirds vote from all members of each house or, if such a vote is not received, September 1, 2017.

Based on the Legislative Budget Board analysis of HHSC, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
