No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Business and Commerce Code to include provisions for the suspension, termination, and reinstatement of cable service, health spa services, internet connectivity services, telecommunications services, and video services for active duty military service members.
Based on the analysis of the Office of the Attorney General, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
