No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code allowing a county with a population more than 11,000 and less than 11,650 to exceed the statutory limit for compensation for a county auditor.
The bill would take effect immediately it the bill receives a two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
