SB1799 by West (Relating to the student loan default prevention and financial aid literacy pilot program.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Under the provisions of the bill the Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation (TGSLC) would enter into an agreement with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) for TGSLC to administer a student loan default prevention and financial aid literacy pilot program. Based on the analysis provided by institutions of higher education and thee THECB, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
