SB1802 by Miles (Relating to petty cash funds for county welfare departments in certain populous counties.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to remove a statutory cap on the size of the petty cash fund administered by the county welfare department that is available for use to the transportation and other expenses of paupers. The bill would apply to counties with a population of 1.3 million or more.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

According to Harris and Dallas counties, the bill would have no fiscal impact.
