SB1837 by Hughes (Relating to the application of the financial accountability system for open enrollment charter schools to the charter school of a public senior college or university.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require a charter school operated by a public senior college or university to be evaluated under financial accountability indicators, but not assigned a financial accountability rating. Indicators could still be used for charter school performance standards.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017, or immediately if passed with the necessary voting margins.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
