No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Utilities Code relating to electric industry market power rules. The amended section of statute has an implementation date not later than January 10, 2000; however, the analysis assumes that the provisions of the bill would be implemented after the effective date of September 1, 2017. Based on the analysis of the Public Utility Commission, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
