No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code relating to the notice requirements for special purpose districts. The bill would require the annexation of land to a special purpose district to send a notice to each person who owns real property that would be annexed in a new or existing district.
The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
