No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend provisions of Chapters 391 and 394 of the Transportation Code relating to the regulation of certain outdoor signs by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) or a municipality.

Based on the information provided by TxDOT, it is assumed implementation of the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the state.

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Municipal League, the fiscal impact to municipalities to implement the provisions of the bill is not anticipated to be significant.
