IN RE:	SB2119 by Seliger (Relating to eliminating the automatic admission of students to certain public institutions of higher education and scholarships for certain students who qualify for automatic admission.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would eliminate the automatic admission of students to certain public institutions of higher education and scholarships for certain students who qualify for automatic admission. Provisions of the bill would apply beginning with admissions to an institution of higher education for the 2019-2020 academic year. Based on the analysis provided by institutions of higher education and the Higher Education Coordinating Board, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
