No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Special District Local Laws Code related to the powers and duties of the Meyer Ranch Municipal Utility District of Comal County. The district would have authority for road projects. The district would have authority to issue bonds and other obligations payable wholly or partly from ad valorem taxes, impact fees, revenue, contract payments, grants, or other district money, or any combination of those sources for authorized projects.

The bill would take effect immediately if the bill receives a two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
