Pursuant to a notice posted on March 20, 2018, the House Committee on Appropriations - S/C on Articles I, IV & V met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Longoria, at 8:03 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Longoria; Miller; Cosper; and Rose.

A quorum was present.

(Representative Capriglione now present.)

Representatives Wu, Springer, and Howard were also in attendance.

The committee heard testimony on Interim Charge 8 regarding Adult Probation & Juvenile Justice Dept. Funding. (See attached witness list.)

The committee heard testimony on Interim Charge 9 regarding State Crime Lab Operations. (See attached witness list.)

At 9:56 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until Upon final adjournment of the Appropriations Committee.

The committee reconvened at 6:26 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Longoria.

The quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Longoria; Miller; Capriglione; Cosper; and Rose.

A quorum was present.

The committee heard testimony on Interim Charge 18.k. regarding Sexual Assault Kit Backlog. (See attached witness list.)

At 7:04 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
