Pursuant to a notice posted on March 3, 2017, the House Committee on Appropriations met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Zerwas, at 7:37 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Zerwas; Longoria; Ashby; Bonnen, Greg; Capriglione; Cosper; Davis, Sarah; Dean; Giddings; Gonzales, Larry; González, Mary; Howard; Koop; Miller; Muñoz, Jr.; Perez; Phelan; Raney; Roberts; Rodriguez, Justin; Rose; Sheffield; Simmons; VanDeaver; and Wu.

A quorum was present.

The chair directed that the February 15, 2017 minutes for the House Committee on Appropriations be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.
