Pursuant to a notice posted on April 24, 2018, revised on April 27, 2018, the House Committee on Business & Industry met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Oliveira, at 10:18 a.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Oliveira; Shine; Collier; Romero, Jr.; and Workman.
A quorum was present.
The Committee considered the following charge:
Charge 1: Partial: Evaluate the adequacy of the workforce currently available to the industries responsible for rebuilding the state’s key infrastructure as well as residential and commercial properties damaged by Hurricane Harvey.

Charge 6: Monitor agencies and programs under the committees jurisdiction and oversee the implementation of relevant legislation passed by the 85th legislature.
