Pursuant to a notice posted on February 22, 2017, and permission granted on February 22, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Calendars met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hunter, at 3:15 p.m.

Representative Howard moved to place the following measures:

Pursuant to House Rule 3, Section 4(2) and House Rule 6, Section 16(f), the House Committee on Calendars proposes the following rule governing floor consideration of House Bill 5:
“Section 1. All original amendments that will be offered during second reading consideration of the bill must be filed with the chief clerk by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.”
Representative Kacal moved to adopt the proposed rule for floor consideration on HB 5. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
