Pursuant to a notice posted on May 8, 2018, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Moody, at 10:05 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Moody; Hefner; and Lang.

 


 

The Committee heard invited testimony on the following Interim Charge:

 

 

Charge #5:  Examine the legal framework surrounding sexual assault prosecutions, including statutory definitions, certain age-based offenses, and ongoing developments in evidence collection and processing.
