Pursuant to a notice posted on May 2, 2018, revised on May 11, 2018 and May 15, 2018, the House Committee on Cybersecurity, Select met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Capriglione, at 1:05 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Capriglione; Blanco; Dale; Dean; and Minjarez.

A quorum was present.

The select committee on Cybersecurity met and heard testimony on:

Cybersecurity education, curriculum, training, workforce, and outreach to increase interest in the technology career field.

Testimony taken/registration recorded.  (See attached witness list.)

The state of cybersecurity at the local, state, and federal levels including risks, incidents, preventative measures, and advancements in detection.

At 5:39 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
