Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 5, 2017, and permission granted on May 5, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Economic & Small Business Development met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Button, at 1:05 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Button; Bailes; Deshotel; Hinojosa, Gina; Metcalf; and Ortega.

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out HB 3772.

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

Representative Bailes moved that HB 3772, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Button; Bailes; Deshotel; Hinojosa, Gina; Leach; Metcalf; Ortega (7).

Nays:                           None (0).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representatives Vo; Villalba (2).

At 1:07 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
