Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 2, 2017, and permission granted on May 2, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Investments & Financial Services met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Parker, at 6:34 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Parker; Stephenson; Burrows; Dean; Holland; and Johnson, Eric.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

HB 2831

 

The chair laid out HB 2831 as pending business.

 

Representative Johnson, Eric offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Holland moved that HB 2831, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Parker; Stephenson; Burrows; Dean; Holland; Johnson, Eric (6).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representative Longoria (1).

 

HB 3419

 

The chair laid out HB 3419 as pending business.

 

Representative Dean offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Johnson, Eric moved that HB 3419, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
