Pursuant to a notice posted on April 7, 2017, the House Committee on General Investigating & Ethics met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Davis, Sarah, at 1:24 p.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Davis, Sarah; Moody; Capriglione; Price; Shine; and Turner.
A quorum was present.
HB 501
The chair laid out HB 501 as pending business.
Representative Davis, Sarah offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Moody moved that HB 501, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Davis, Sarah; Moody; Capriglione; Price; Shine; Turner (6).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representative Nevárez (1).

The chair laid out HB 504 as pending business.
Representative Davis, Sarah offered a complete committee substitute.
