Pursuant to a notice posted on June 29, 2017, the House Committee on Defense & Veterans' Affairs met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Gutierrez, at 10:13 a.m. The Committee met in the El Paso Chamber of Commerce.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Gutierrez; Blanco; Arévalo; and Flynn.

A quorum was present.

The Committee met and heard invited and public testimony on the encroachment of military installations. Rep. Mary Gonzales and Senator Jose Rodriguez were in attendance.

At 11:41 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
