Pursuant to a notice posted on April 3, 2018, the House Committee on Defense & Veterans' Affairs met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Gutierrez, at 2:12 p.m. The Committee met at St. Philips College in San Antonio, Texas.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Gutierrez; Arévalo; and Flynn.

 

 

The Committee met and heard invited and public testimony on Interim Charge 2. Assess ways the State of Texas can further aid federal military installations and their communities in order to minimize the negative consequences of a Base Realignment and Closure round by the federal government.

At 3:40 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
