Pursuant to a notice posted on August 7, 2017, the House Committee on Human Services met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Raymond, at 8:35 a.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Raymond; Frank; Klick; Miller; Minjarez; and Wu.
A quorum was present.
The committee heard testimony from Health Human Services Commission Executive Commissioner Charles Smith and other witnesses on the following issues:
· Proposed Medicaid payment rates
· Preferred provider agreements in managed care
· Agency efforts to increase Managed Care Organization oversight
· 1115 Waiver update
· Raider 219, SB 1 (85R)
