Pursuant to a notice posted on October 24, 2017, the House Committee on Human Services met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Raymond, at 10:06 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Raymond; Frank; Klick; Miller; Minjarez; Rose; and Wu.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

The committee met jointly with the Public Health Committee.

 

The committee met to hear invited testimony to review the state's response to Hurricane Harvey in regard to public health and human services efforts including preparatory and recovery efforts.
