Pursuant to a notice posted on May 11, 2017, the House Committee on Insurance met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Phillips, at 9:04 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Phillips; Muñoz, Jr.; Anderson, Rodney; Gooden; Oliverson; Paul; Sanford; and Turner.

SB 563

The chair laid out SB 563, the companion to HB 1298.

Representative Oliverson moved that SB 563, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
