Pursuant to a notice posted on February 23, 2017, and permission granted on February 28, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Public Education met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Huberty, at 12:11 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Huberty; Bernal; Bohac; Gooden; King, Ken; Koop; Meyer; and VanDeaver.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

 

The chair called for invited testimony on issues related to school finance issues.
