Pursuant to a notice posted on October 24, 2017, the House Committee on Public Health met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Price, at 10:06 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Price; Sheffield; Arévalo; Burkett; Collier; Cortez; Guerra; and Klick.

A quorum was present.

The Committee met jointly with the  Human Services Committee.

The Committees met to hear invited testimony to review the state’s response to Hurricane Harvey in regards to public health and human services efforts including preparatory and recovery efforts.
