Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 7, 2017, and permission granted on March 7, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Rules & Resolutions met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Lucio III, at 11:40 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Lucio III; Kacal; Arévalo; Bailes; Burns; Faircloth; Sheffield; and Wray.

A quorum was present.

The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
