Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 27, 2017, and permission granted on April 27, 2017, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on State Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cook, at 1:03 p.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Cook; Giddings; Craddick; Farrar; Guillen; King, Ken; Kuempel; Meyer; Paddie; and Rodriguez, Eddie.

The chair moved to reconsider all votes previously taken on HB 1936. The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.
