Pursuant to a notice posted on April 3, 2018, the House Committee on Transportation met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Morrison, Geanie W., at 10:08 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Morrison, Geanie W.; Martinez, "Mando"; Burkett; Davis, Yvonne; Goldman; Israel; Pickett; Simmons; Thompson, Ed; Thompson, Senfronia; and Wray.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

The Committee met to hear invited Testimony on the following Interim Charge:

 

Study the ability of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to deliver highway construction projects that reduce congestion and improve mobility, including the Department's options and limitations related to contracting. Make recommendations to improve the Department's ability to complete complex projects on time and under cost.

At 12:10 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
