Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Water & Rural Affairs was held on Monday, March 6, 2017, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.012, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 3:18 PM. There being a quorum present at 3:45 pm, the following business was transacted:

The following members arrived after the roll was called:

The Chair called the following agency representatives to provide an overview and update from the Texas Water Development Board, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Texas State Soil & Water Conservation Board, Public Utility Commission of Texas, Texas Animal Health Commission, Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and Texas Department of Agriculture (see attached witness list.)

At 3:37 PM Senator Kolkhorst assumed the chair.

At 3:53 PM Senator Perry resumed the chair.

There being no further business, at 5:28 PM Senator Perry moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
