The chair called the meeting to order at 6:59 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
The chair laid out as a matter of pending business SB 200 by Senator Campbell.
Senator Bettencourt sent up a committee substitute. Senator Bettencourt moved adoption of the committee substitute; without objection, it was so ordered.
Senator Bettencourt moved that SB 200 do not pass but that CSSB 200 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 14 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent.
The chair laid out as a matter of pending business SB 521 by Senator Creighton.
Senator Bettencourt moved that SB 521 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 11 ayes, 3 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent.
The chair laid out as a matter of pending business SB 1360 by Senator Watson.
Senator Watson sent up a committee substitute. Senator Watson moved adoption of the committee substitute; without objection, it was so ordered.
Senator Watson moved that SB 1360 do not pass but that CSSB 1360 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 13 ayes, 1 nay, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent.
The chair laid out as a matter of pending business SB 1407 by Senator Taylor, Van.
Senator Birdwell moved that SB 1407 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 13 ayes, 1 nay, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent.
The chair laid out as a matter of pending business SB 1505 by Senator Hinojosa. The committee substitute was adopted at a previous hearing.
Senator Hinojosa moved that SB 1505 do not pass but that CSSB 1505 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 10 ayes, 4 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent.
There being no further business, at 7:06 PM Senator Nelson moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
