Pursuant to SCR 11 a public hearing of the Joint Committee on Government Facilities was held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.016, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 10:07 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

Chairman Hancock made opening remarks.

Representative Geren moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

Representative Geren moved adoption of the committee guidelines. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

Chairman Hancock opened invited testimony on Deferred Maintenance. The invited witnesses are shown on the attached list.

Chairman Hancock opened invited testimony on Facility Space Needs and Capitol Complex Master Plan update. The invited witnesses are shown on the attached list.

There being no further business, at 12:53 PM Senator Hancock moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
