The committee will meet to hear invited testimony from the Texas Water Development Board for an update on drought conditions and the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT) and to consider the following bills:

Relating to the regulation of groundwater.

Relating to the development of brackish groundwater.

Relating to the state and regional water planning process.

HB 228        Larson                 
Relating to appropriations of water for use in aquifer storage and recovery projects.

HB 229        Larson                 
Relating to the authority of the Texas Water Development Board to use the state participation account of the water development fund to provide financial assistance for the development of certain facilities.

HB 230        Larson                 
Relating to the use of money in the state water pollution control revolving fund.

HB 275        Ashby                  
Relating to extensions of an expired permit for the transfer of groundwater from a groundwater conservation district.

HB 277        Larson                 
Relating to the duty of the Texas Water Development Board to conduct studies of and prepare and submit reports on aquifer storage and recovery.
