The Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Economic Development will meet at 9 a.m. at the following location:
Houston City Council Chamber 2nd Floor, City Hall 901 Bagby St. Houston, TX 77002
The committee will hear invited and public testimony on the following interim charges:
1) Hotel Occupancy Taxes: Study and make recommendations regarding the collection and use of hotel occupancy taxes to increase transparency in the imposition, rate, and use of such taxes.
2) Regulatory Barriers: Identify options to maintain our state's competitive advantage and make recommendations to remove or reduce administrative or regulatory barriers hindering economic growth, including permitting or registration requirements and fees.
Public testimony will be limited to 3 minutes per person. If submitting written testimony, please provide 20 copies to the committee clerk with your name on each copy.
