Amend CSHB 1 (house committee printing) in Article XI of the bill as follows:

(1)  Under the appropriations to the University of Houston (page XI-6), add the following appropriately numbered rider and renumber subsequent riders accordingly:

____.  Partnership for Multicultural Success. The amount of $1,282,875 is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the University of Houston for each year of the state fiscal biennium ending August 31, 2021, for the purpose of improving educational outcomes and expanding research and community engagement activities related to the Mexican American studies program, the Asian American studies program, and the African American studies program.

(2)  Adjust the article totals and methods of financing accordingly.
