Amend CSHB 1 (house committee printing) in Article II of the bill, following the appropriations to the Health and Human Services Commission (page II-94), by adding the following appropriately numbered rider and renumbering subsequent riders accordingly:

____.  Funding for North Texas Behavioral Health Authority Purchase of Private Psychiatric Beds. Out of funds appropriated above in Strategy D.2.1, Community Mental Health Services-Adults, the Health and Human Services Commission shall allocate $4,343,500 for each fiscal year during the state fiscal biennium ending August 31, 2021, for the purpose of purchasing private psychiatric beds to accommodate individuals eligible to receive community mental health services through the North Texas Behavioral Health Authority.
