Amend HB 102 (house committee report) as follows:
(1) On page 1, line 6, between "(f)," and "and", insert "(f-1),".
(2) On page 1, line 9, strike "two school years" and substitute "one school year".
(3) On page 1, line 10, strike "on the first day" and substitute "not later than the 30th day".
(4) On page 1, line 11, following the underlined period, insert "A district must agree to assign a mentor to a new classroom teacher for at least two school years.".
(5) On page 2, lines 15 and 16, strike "at least once a week for an individual mentoring session lasting at least 45 minutes, with".
(6) On page 2, line 17, strike "of meeting time".
(7) On page 2, line 17, strike "The" and substitute the following: "Observations of the mentor by the classroom teacher being mentored or of the classroom teacher being mentored by the mentor may count toward the 12 hours of meeting time required for the semester. (8) On page 2, between lines 26 and 27, insert the following:
