System updates will be applied on February 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM. These updates will include changes to the user interface. Work is expected to take approximately 30 minutes to complete, during which the site will be unavailable.
Amend HB 601 (house committee report) on page 3 as follows:
(1) On lines 14 and 15, strike "amending Subsections (b), (b-1), (c), (d), and (e) and adding Subsection (f)" and substitute "adding Subsections (a-1) and (f) and amending Subsections (b), (b-1), (c), (d), and (e)".
(2) Between lines 15 and 16, insert the following:
(a-1) If a magistrate orders a local mental health authority or local intellectual and developmental disability authority to conduct an interview and collect information under Subsection (a)(1), the commissioners court for the county in which the magistrate is located shall reimburse the local mental health authority or local intellectual and developmental disability authority for the cost of performing those duties.
