Amend HB 1099 (house committee printing) by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:

SECTION ____.  Section 801.154, Occupations Code, is amended to read as follows:

Sec. 801.154.  FEES.  The board by rule shall set fees in amounts that are reasonable and necessary so that the fees, in the aggregate, cover the costs of administering this chapter, except that the board may not impose fees to cover any costs associated with training, recruiting, or employing a peace officer under Section 801.165.
