The commission may consider as a criteria for the financial incentives whether the health care provider in a maternity management team will implement strategies and best practices recommended by the Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Task Force established under Chapter 34, Health and Safety Code, for reducing maternal mortality rates and maternal health disparities for African American women in this state.
