Amend CSHB 1483 (house committee report) as follows:
(1) On page 1, strike lines 15 through 19.
(2) On page 2, between lines 4 and 5, insert the following new subdivision, appropriately numbered, and renumber the subdivisions of added Section 531.02241(a), Government Code, accordingly:
(____) "Sufficient wage" means an amount of money, determined by a market-based calculation that uses geographically specific expenditure data, that is sufficient to meet a family's minimum necessary spending on basic needs, including food, child care, health insurance, housing, and transportation.
(3) Strike "living" and substitute "sufficient" in each of the following places it appears:
(A) page 1, line 21;
(B) page 3, line 19;
(C) page 4, line 21;
(D) page 4, line 24;
(E) page 4, line 27;
(F) page 5, line 4;
(G) page 5, line 8; and
(H) page 5, line 10.
